San Francisco is full of people asking big questions about faith, meaning, and purpose. Proxima creates space for thoughtful conversation, welcoming community, and practices that help people focus on what matters.
Proxima Partners is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Francisco. We serve a city known for innovation, diversity, spiritual curiosity, and deep complexity.
Our work is shaped by years of experience in global cities where people approach spirituality from many different starting points. We listen to the questions people are actually asking, meet them without pressure or pretense, and create relational ways to explore faith, meaning, and purpose in everyday life.

Katie Dudgeon
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Katie brings nearly 25 years of nonprofit and leadership experience to Proxima Partners. Across local, national, and international settings, she has coached leaders, cared for people in difficult moments, and brought people together around shared purpose. Katie provides Proxima’s strategic leadership and organizational oversight.
Mike Edwards
Co-Founder, Program Director | CFO
Mike brings more than three decades of experience in cross-cultural leadership, team development, coaching, and organizational strategy. After fourteen years living and leading teams in Berlin, he brings a global perspective to San Francisco. An engineer by training with graduate study in urban studies, Mike leads Proxima’s program design, coaching methodology, and financial management.
